Now some of you may remember the pictures earlier in my site of my friend Scott's wrecked '95S4s (whose car was the source of my rear OZ Futuras)...well, Scott has it finished, and he came over last week to install a stainless clutch hose to replace the red hose. Scott bought his hose from JAE, however I would highly recommend Dave Bean's kit over that of JAE. Scott's came with the aeroquip fittings but that was all, while the kit from Dave Bean (which I installed a year or two ago) comes with a banjo fitting for the master, two aeroquip fittings, and two 90 degree elbows for a much much better fit than the JAE kit.
Scott's car came out really nice and he now has 3300 original miles on it!! He told me that he let his friend drive it (this guy test drives various high performance cars for the automakers) and he had it up to 120 MPH without any problems, so the frame repair worked fine.....Scott lives only 20 miles away, so we should be going down the roads in tandum more this summer! |
