More MOMO!
While I had the shift lever out, I noticed a worn "reverse inhibitor rubbing pad"..the nylon bush.  I went to my local hardware store and bought a new nylon spacer, which I turned down into a replacement nylon pad.  This pad rubs along the reverse inhibiter plate and appearently stabilizes the shifter..we will see if there is any noticeable difference...but while I was there, what the heck!
I bought a piece of 12mm drill rod for the replacement shifter shaft to install the new MOMO knob on.  I also purchased a new A/C control graphic panel to replace my cracked one...see pictures of the finished product that follow!!
The MOMO knob is about 3/4" longer from end to end than the OEM knob, and as such, the reverse lock out tube needs to be shortened 1" so that the installed shifter will not be higher than the OEM.  I actually made it sit about 1/2" lower into the console than the OEM knob was.
After the tube is cut 1" from the base of the reverse lockout "block", I then cut the remaining tube flush and finished with my grinder to remove all of the weld ridge.
