April 7th, Continued!
Give the paint a minute or two to set up or go over quickly with a hairdryer (do not let the paint dry completely!) and then unmask.  Next, go over the surface with a piece of low nap cloth (such as a bedsheet) wrapped over any flat flexible surface (I used a hard rubber sanding block), and moistened lightly with PrepSol.
The purpose being to remove all overspray from the raised portion of the wheel and leave a nice defined edge on the painted indented lettering...you can use anything that will acomplish the job of holding the moistened cloth taut and providing a flat edge to move over the recessed letters.
The Finished Product!
This doesn't take very long and looks really good! [there is nothing more I can do to the wheels except line up the logo center on this one!! :-)]
Steering Wheel Updating!
As my Lister friend Colin pointed out, my steering wheel looked dated...and he is right!  But, lurking under the factory crash protection is a great looking Nardi three spoked wheel, just waiting to be discovered!  I ordered two MOMO Lotus Logo horn buttons from Dave Bean..one is black and silver and the other standard yellow and green.  I think I will go with the black/silver, but I will have to see which I like better.  As the horn button on my '89 is located on the end of the signal lite stalk, the only thing in the center of the wheel is the nut holding it to the shaft.  I am going to make an aluminum adapter for the button, but will have to wait until it arrives..more on this will follow!
Here's the Nardi wheel that was lurking underneath the crash protector..pretty nice looking, huh!

Note, the 16" SE rear wheels have a different lettering style than the fronts...
