May 25, 2001!
Well, I wanted to check and /or align the rear end of the Lotus, however since I don't exactly live in Lotus land, no local would even touch an alignment on a Lotus!  So, necessity is the mother of all invention...I went to the manual and read about a parallel bar set up to do the job..sounded simple enough and since I got a 100 on my Geometry Exam in Highschool (some 30 years ago!!), I figured what the hell!  What follows is an adaption of my Kwiklift into a parallel bar alignment machine!!
Here's the manual write up about the parallel bar alignment....
Next is a shot of the brackets that I fabricated as well as the parallel bars...note the extensive use of C clamps!!  The brackets are clamped to the bottom edges of the ramps, and the corners of the parallel bars are clamped with 90 degree corner clamps.
